At the heart of the story is Mazu, the Goddess of the Sea, a benevolent protector who guides and saves from storms. During the procession, her statue is carried in triumph through the streets of Taiwan, while the faithful devoutly shout: "Where you go, I follow."
A living symbol of harmony between earth, sea, and sky, Mazu shines in a luminous opening of bergamot, then rises through the spicy warmth of cardamom and the spirituality of incense.
