What a circus of lights is life!

Lights that make me close my eyes.

Too strong.

a shadow of smiles,

What a distracted life,
what a painting of white solitudes!

What a mask of tears and funny smells!

We are pupils that laugh without warmth,
fixed, immutable.

Pain.

You, fear of the unrecognizable
behind a friendly gesture,
You are anxious not to be able to read
the dance of an ancient face.

Melancholy of time and history.
Dance, joke, deceive.

Friendly laughter, a jarring note,
a distant echo of mud and guts.

Close your eyes, because in the dark you see,
because thoughts become more closed and deeper,
And that face that distorts mine returns,
Memory.

disturbing mask,
lost soul,
that eats peace instead of seeking it,
heart that jumps at a lost man,
who desires the courage to wander aimlessly around himself.

The fear of clowns, also known as coulrophobia, is a relatively common and often misunderstood phobia.

This fear can manifest in varying degrees of intensity, from mild discomfort to paralyzing terror, and is believed to have deep roots in the human psyche.

The figure of the clown is historically associated with fun and entertainment, dating back to medieval jesters and harlequins of the commedia dell'arte.

However, the grotesque appearance of the clown, with exaggerated makeup that distorts facial features, can create a sense of ambiguity and uncertainty.

This distortion can cause people to perceive clowns as disturbing figures, because their appearance does not correspond to common human behaviors.

Psychology suggests that the fear of clowns may stem from the difficulty of reading true emotions behind heavy makeup.

Our usual predisposition is to read facial expressions to understand the intentions of others. When this ability is compromised, as in the case of clowns, it can generate anxiety and fear.

The often unpredictable behavior of clowns can contribute to a feeling of unease.

Popular culture has amplified the fear of these figures through negative and frightening representations.

An emblematic example is the character of Pennywise, the evil clown from Stephen King's novel "It", who has terrified generations of readers and viewers and is the foundation of the inspiration for the thirteenth fragrance in the UNUM collection.

Coulrophobia, now also developed in scent with Filippo Sorcinelli, is a kind of completion of a search into the profound meaning of fear that began with the fragrance "but not today" in 2018 and continued last year with "neither the day nor the hour"; it can have a significant impact on the daily lives of those afflicted by it.

Common situations such as children's birthday parties or circus events can become a source of stress and anxiety. In extreme cases, the mere sight of an image of a clown can trigger a panic reaction.

Ambiguity, in fact, is the lagoon of thoughts, the clumsy movements soiled by art project our anxieties, thin the face and describe wickedness.

But authentic Art intervenes on superficial wickedness as it intervenes on the soul.

Only it produces this short circuit capable of cancelling what leads to negativity about wickedness. Art describes but does not limit and does not like to exasperate negativity.

It describes it, because exposing it allows the matter of Beauty to take over even in negative situations.

Someone needs to be wicked but only the other can circumscribe their limit on the path of solitude.

And only then will the centre of wickedness become social construction.
