Inspired by the sacristy drawers of Milan Cathedral.
It is called "aquilonare", from the Late Latin aquilonaris, meaning northern.
It is the ancient sacristy of Milan Cathedral, the first nucleus of the cathedral built starting in 1386, in the middle of an urban center cluttered with buildings.
It is the first place to be built after the laying of the first stone of the cathedral.
In addition to the valuable marbles, sculptures, and frescoes, the sacristy is rich in furniture and drawers and is still used by priests for their vesting before sacred rites.
