In the storm
of a summer’s day
and in the quiet of the sunset
the echo of the sea
accompanied me.

Now, in an elegant murex shell
I preserve its memory:
when I bring it
to my ear, and when,
sinuous and perverse,
I find my scent within it.

Tuberose,
the white flower par excellence
that is the hallmark of my style.

Here, tuberose is imagined arriving from afar within a seashell, carried by the waves. It has a home, a treasure chest in which it rests. It has embraced a block of ambergris and danced with seaweed absolutes. Its petals, drenched by the sea, are imbued with purple.
If it had a color, it would be Tyrian red.
A submarine, damp, mineral tuberose.
