The encounter with our deepest memories can be unsettling, and this is what I tried to create with Narcotico, a personal, deep journey into the most hidden olfactory memories of my soul. Narcotico recounts, through a journey to Palermo, a city of a thousand contrasts, among its alleys and churches, the spiritual journey of the soul, of my personal relationship with the Sacred. The opening of the perfume is strong, pungent, obsessively edgy; Incense and Thyme blend and slowly open the doors to this sacred place, memory. The contrast continues endlessly, between the sweet notes of Tonka Bean, Benzoin, and a floral accord, matured over time. Narcotico holds in its meaning a dedication to Pier Paolo Pasolini and Antonello da Messina, two souls who influenced my life, in my return to Sicily after so many years. The evolution of the perfume offers an unexpected welcome; the soul has found peace, found its answers. An accord of Patchouli, Oud, Guaiac Wood, Vetiver, and Labdanum reminds us of the place where we often hide our soul, an old forgotten drawer.
