The twelfth fragrance of the monolithic UNUM collection aims to tackle the emotion of emotions:

Fear, starting, almost as if by tradition, drawing inspiration from the extract of Matthew's Gospel that tells the parable of the ten virgins, from which the name is also chosen; the story of the women who, prudently, put aside oil to fuel their lamps, at the moment of the bridegroom's arrival.

We know that of the ten women, only five – described as prudent – will participate in the wedding feast; the others, who went to look for oil for their lamps, will find the door closed.

"Lord, open to us," they will say upon their arrival, receiving the reply: "Truly I tell you, I do not know you."

We also know that, while waiting, they too fell asleep, but ready to wake up and prepare to rejoice at the bridegroom's arrival: "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour," we read in Matthew.

But this is only the beginning.

In reality, the idea is to go further beyond the evangelical words to address fear in a more intense and profound way, where even conflicting emotions are located, undergoing the seductive charm of danger, an "amor fati" as Nietzsche argued, in any case the presence of the uncontrolled.

This element marks horror literature and beyond, and it is precisely the dominion of the uncontrolled over us.

Yet fear always needs something else to be such: not a lack of courage, but the presence of what we desire most.

That which remains the highest aspiration for the majority of men, is also a harbinger of trouble.

It is freedom.

And the perfume imparts the idea of destruction and voluntary muteness and the introspection necessary to delve into the most remote basin of existence on the skin.

But controlling fear generates attraction towards it, even experiencing pleasure towards a sought-after, desired, and controlled fear.

Man, in fact, is enveloped by a horrific fate, and our society, with its violent mass conformities, wants to stun itself and deny the truth, which is Being-for-death.

Only then does man become "I" in his deepest and darkest shadow and manifest his true nature, made of contradictions and desires.

In the face of fear, primordial needs of apparent disorder are generated, also made of dormant, hidden, and dangerous eroticism, making the impossible possible.

The packaging, strictly adhering to the UNUM collection, this time is closed by a cold transparent film and a silver label.

The silver bottle, on the other hand, is placed in a "muffled" black velvet bag, sealed by a heat-shrink sleeve, which must be physically cut using the metal scissors found inside the box.
